It is the first handheld Mario Kart title to use live-rendered 3D graphics for most of the objects in the game, including characters, vehicles, and racetracks. Unlike its predecessor, Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, it retains the traditional single-driver kart racing elements in the Mario Kart series, where players race against seven competitors in obstacle tracks, using item-based weaponry to gain further advantages over their opponents. Mario Kart DS was released first in North America, in November 14, 2005, and is the only mainstream Mario Kart game to be released first in North America. He is the staff ghost character for Hyrule Circuit.Mario Kart DS is a racing game part of the Mario Kart series for the Nintendo DS, developed and published by Nintendo. He is a heavyweight character, sharing his weight with DK, Rosalina, Waluigi, and Roy. The rest of the shield is faded blue in coloration. And in the center is the Hyrule symbol from the Legend of Zelda, three yellow triangles known as the Triforce and a gray one forming a big triangle. A red, eagle-like icon can be seen, with the wings, legs, body, and head all being separated but close together. Two silver notches jut out, along with four jagged designs in the shield. It is edged by silver, with three nails on the lower and side corners, and on the top corner, a small design is engraved. In his right hand (so he must be left-handed), he is armed with a shield for protection. In the center of the sword is a small, yellow gem. The handle is green and purple striped, with a small triangular design on the end. The hilt itself is a bluish-purple and is designed sort of like bat wings. The weapon's blade lengthens slightly near the front of the hilt. If Link is not busy steering his bike on a track in Mario Kart 8, then he will always be brandishing a heavy, sharp, and especially deadly, legendary blade called the Master Sword. Link is too good of a fighter to need a helmet, so instead, he wears a long hat that falls over his shoulders. His ears are pointed, and his long, flowing, blonde hair falls over his forehead and his ears. Link always has a determined look on his face. His black gloves are cut off at the fingers, and his shirt is slightly torn at the collar. Link is equipped with an arm guard for when shooting a bow and arrow, although he does not usually have one. Underneath his short-sleeved green shirt is a long-sleeved white shirt, which can also be seen right below his neck. This belt holds his sword sheath, which is also dark brown and edged with a brass tip. Another belt is strapped around his shoulder, this one is the same color and attached to the one around his waist. Link has a dark brown belt with a brass buckle that separates his shirt from his tunic. He has tan (or very dirty white) pants, and he also has a forest green tunic (it looks manly on him). He has brown, leather boots with straps around the tops and ankles. Even though he just races karts in Mario Kart 8, he still is adorned in his fighter gear. Link, a warrior from the Legend of Zelda series, has the overall appearance of. Link appears as a playable character in Mario Kart 8 in the first of the two DLC packs, he later returns in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe this time as a starter.

These are the 5 basic steps towards the perfect elevator pitch. In those 30 seconds or less, the goal is to describe what you do or sell, in order to earn a follow-up conversation with your audience. So what exactly is an Elevator Pitch? To put it simply, it’s an informal presentation that should last no longer than 30 seconds. This is where the elevator pitch comes in. Having it in your pocket and ready to go means you always have something good to say when talking about the library. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about myself, it’s that I don’t have the biggest attention span, and neither do most people nowadays. It makes things SO much easier for you to talk about your idea, and to persuade other people to follow along with you, if you have your elevator speech practiced and ready! And when you are talking about great things in your library, you will probably give this same speech a few dozen times. Do you want the person to give an answer on the spot? Do you want them to say “Hmmmm…” and think about what you said? Is this the start of a longer discussion? Should they contact you later? Be ready to hand over your business card, to tap phones to share contact information, or to just shake hands and say “Thanks for listening!” depending on what you want to accomplish. Whoosh out any stress or nervousness you feel, then just dive into your quick speech. The moment arrives your elevator is here! Take a moment to take a deep breath. What is THE most important point? That is where you are going! And then you can keep building up the supporting points to that idea.ĭo you have an understanding co-worker who who will listen to your speech and give some useful feedback? A friend who wants to hear about libraries? A dog? (They make the best audience when you are just starting out – they listen closely and seem to give a lot of positive feedback!) Or just stand facing a mirror when you talk – it can help you to see how you are being perceived. You only have 60 seconds, it’s only a few sentences. Next: what is important here? What should people know about your issue? Make a few notes, so you don’t lose track of ideas. First: pick out a topic! This is probably something that will be obvious, or something in your library you really want other people to know. It is pretty easy to get your elevator speech ready. What is the cure for this? Just as if you wanted to go to Carnegie Hall: Practice, practice, practice! If you just have a minute or two with someone, and you need to get out your message – it’s elevator speech time!Įveryone knows how easy it is to have something important to share – and spend time talking around the topic, or stammering with the flow of words inside your head happening faster than you can speak them. When do you want to use this kind of presentation? Usually, when you need to make your point quickly, and move on. An elevator speech is just a way to formalize it, and to help you give the best presentation of your ideas. You probably already do this on a daily basis – talking about the things your library has, does, and provides. This has kind of expanded to encompass all kinds of advocacy speech, but the basic idea remains the same. This is your shot, you don’t want to throw it away! It started as a business idea: you meet the Head Honcho in an elevator, and have about 60 seconds to wow her with your big idea. You have probably heard of elevator speeches, but may be fuzzy on the concept. So, for a new Jenkins job (Build a maven2/3 project) – we”ll define 2 String parameters: releaseVersion=0.1 and developmentVersion=0.2-SNAPSHOT.Īt the Build configuration section, we can simply configure the following Maven command to run: release:clean release:prepare release:perform However, since the Maven command for performing the release is simple enough, we can simply define a standard Jenkins job to perform the operation – no plugins necessary. The existing Jenkins plugins focused on the release process are: Jenkins can perform the release process in one of two ways – it can either use it's own release plugins, or it can simply run perform the release with a standard maven job running the correct release steps. The plugin is configured to perform the Release process without the staging mechanism, same as previously, for the Deployment process ( skipStaging=true).Īnd also similar to the Deployment process, Releasing to Nexus is a secured operation – so we're going to use the Out of the Box deployment user form Nexus again. It is in this process that the nexus-staging-maven-plugin is used to perform a deploy to the nexus-releases Nexus repository: Also setting autoVersionSubmodules configuration to true ensures that each module version is same as the parent version, if it is set to false, the user will be prompted for the version number for each module of the project. What is important here is that the releaseProfiles configuration will actually force a Maven profile – the releases profile – to become active during the Release process. The standard Maven plugin used by a Release Process is the maven-release-plugin – the configuration for this plugin is minimal: No misleading/non-descriptive/clickbait titles, disinformation or illegal content.ĪmAs, Q&As, giveaways, and other community-facing content must be approved by moderators.Īnd as always, be nice and follow reddiquette. Adventure Aquarium is the only aquarium with hippos on display, and before visiting I really underestimated their size. Zone A showcases 400 animals, which includes an extremely large tank full of sea turtles (my favorite), several shark species, and an exhibit that allows you to touch sharks, sting rays, and starfish (definitely not as scary as it seems). I knew Adventure Aquarium was known for its shark tunnel and rare animals, so I knew I’d be pleased with the experience.Įach zone features different types of aquatic animals, and personally, the coolest zones are A and D. By wearing Hi Vis clothing, workers can decrease their risk of being involved in an accident. In addition to shirts, Hi Vis clothing can also include jackets, vests, pants, and hats. For example, construction workers and highway maintenance crews often wear Hi Vis shirts to help make sure that they are seen by passing motorists. Highly visible tshirts are worn in a variety of settings, but they are most commonly seen in workplaces where visibility is a safety concern. They are typically made from bright colors like yellow or orange, and they often have reflective stripes. Hi Vis shirts are shirts that are designed to be highly visible. Check out our selection today and find the perfect shirt for your needs! What are Hi Vis Shirts? If you’re looking for a way to stay safe on the job, then hi-viz t-shirts are definitely the way to go. Not only are they great for working outdoors in low-light conditions, but they can also be worn in other high-traffic areas. High visibility shirts are perfect for keeping you safe while you work, because they make you easily visible to others. The best way to stay safe on the job is with hi vis shirts. For example, the reflective tapes applied to fire suits must have flame retardant properties.Ĥ) Using equipment: After all the requirements of the garment reflective tape are determined, we need to choose the sewing type or the hot pressing type according to the processing equipment.Hi Vis Shirts – High visibility T-shirts for Construction Workers We must choose the reflective tape corresponding to the washing requirements according to the requirements of the reflective clothing.ģ) Characteristic requirements: In addition to the reflectivity and washability requirements, the reflective tapes for some special applications must have special requirements. It usually has different washing requirements such as household washing, dry cleaning, industrial washing, etc., and the common types of washing times are 25 times, 50 times, 100 times and so on. When choosing clothing reflective tape, we mainly need to consider the following points:ġ) Reflectivity: Many reflective vests with special requirements have strict requirements on reflectivity, for example, it must exceed 420 cd/lux/m².Ģ) Washability: Washability is a very important indicator in clothing reflective tapes. However The cost is relatively high and it is more suitable for rigid quality outerwear and shirts. Micro-prismatic reflective tape is good to overcome the problem of glass beads are not wear-resistant, as well as in the rain will show a better reflectivity. Of course, the glass beads reflective tape also has its shortcomings, such as not wear-resistant, and its reflectivity will be weakened when it is wet in rainy days. In addition, the glass microbead type reflective tape is more flexible and lightweight. For example, if you choose flame retardant fabric, you can customize FR reflective tape for firefighter suits, and if you choose elastic fabric, you can customize elastic reflective tape for elastic-type reflective T-shirts. Among all reflective vests, jackets, and workwear applications, it is not difficult to find that the application of glass beads reflective tapes will be more extensive.ĭo you know why? It is because the glass beads type can customize the back base fabric with different requirements according to the application, thus providing the possibility for various special requirements of reflective clothing. For someone with a persnickety streak, this could be quite the annoyance. 5mm askew, the face of the tower never quite sits correctly: one side is tilted outward just a hair, the other side is tilted inward. I’d be amazed if they were removable at all without cutting away the wood itself.īut with the incredibly anchored connectors comes the only drawback of a completely collapsible system: it will rarely ever be as perfectly square as their other products. In this case, both an epoxy and a great deal of friction keep the magnetic tabs embedded in the wood. I’ve commended Wyrmwood on their use of mechanical fastenings in the past – screws trump glue every day of the week on both a production front and on a longevity scale. Not only do the pieces fit perfectly inside the tray, the unloading slope of the tower fits within the U-shaped opening on the personal tray, allowing for a secure and smooth transition from tower to surface. The tower is manufactured, any laymen can see, with great care to it’s compatibility with the personal dice tray. The end result of this labor intensive 15 seconds: Remarkable! Inside, out, around, under, across: all of it!Īlong predetermined lines, magnetized metal rods are inserted into the wood and marked with a number, so that they snap into place and are held firmly in place, while being completely collapsible. The vast, and I do mean vast, majority of these dice towers is made of solid lengths of whatever your choice of wood may be. We’re going to dump a few hundred words here and I’ll explain this step by step so everyone can adequately know how these things fit together and what to expect when you get one. If you buy dice that cost more than $11 and roll them with any regularity – rest assured that this is a safe purchase for you.Īlright. Overall, the personal tray and the dice vault make an iconic pair! They truly have a place at any and every table. But would you really like four rubber feet drilled and screwed, and a sheet of buffalo leather fitted onto a relatively large plank of incredibly expensive exotic wood… that you never see? I’ve heard some people actually complain about the use of plywood. You can barely even see the corners! It’s truly marvelous woodworking.Īny heavy dice rolled in this thing makes a wonderful, tactile, ‘thunk’ and ‘clatter.’ To keep the uniformity and build quality identical, the base of the tray is made of tight-pressed plywood. The sides are 2.5″ tall beautifully crafted rails of pure Zebrawood (in my case). Sincerely, every DM/GM could use one of these! It’s the perfect height for discrete rolling, small enough (8.75″x4″) to fit behind or beside a DM Screen, and absolutely gorgeous to boot. I cannot overstate this: I absolutely love this thing. If you’re looking to get something personal engraved – I’d suggest you get it done on this guy. The thick portion of wood allows for a much deeper and clean etching, both on top and on the sides. I also just love how refined and clear the laser etching is on these dice vaults. Inside and out, you can rest assured that it’s as pure-blood as woodworking can be. These things contain a very large portion of the precious woods you’re paying for. Well crafted, sanded to a satin finish, and a wonderful display for your favorite dice. VaultĪs always, these dice vaults are simply amazing. It lets the wood lie perfectly flat with the two large panels on the bottom, it displays the wonderful Wyrmwood logo right on top, you can SEE that you remembered to put your goddamn dice in there (yes, I’ve forgotten it before) and the strap can be buttoned without smashing it into your extremely beautiful wooden panels. I will note: I DO advise you actually store your product like this, opposed to how you see it done elsewhere. The absolute coolest part: they all fit together to make a single, tight, easy to store package! In the complete system offered from Wyrmwood Gaming – you get a Personal Dice Tray, a Dice Vault, a collapsible magnetic Dice Tower, and a leather carrying strap. |
